Reverie
Like mist upon the lake when night has flown
Reveals that those we've loved and those we've known
From yesterdays and yesterdays before
The casualties of time's eternal war
In subtle shades of dawn's most fleeting glance
Reflected in the mirrored lake's expanse
Are not forgotten friends we hold most dear
Nor are their ghosts the shadows which we fear
For as the Sun the morning mist will raise
Its curtain on the second act of days
Where lovers who were lost are brightly found
And friendship circles, one eternal round
Our misted lives live on in memory
While present joys find pleasant reverie
